GAMCOTRAP was established in 1984 following a conference in Dakar where African women discussed issues affecting their rights such as harmful traditional practices.
GAMCOTRAP is a non-governmental organisation registered with the Attorney General's Chamber. The NGO Affairs Agency and the Association for non-governmental Oganisations (TANGO). It is affiliated to the Inter-Africa Committee (IAC) on Traditional practices. read more
