ORGANISATION PROFILE

GAMCOTRAP was established in 1984 following a conference in Dakar where African women discussed issues affecting their rights such as harmful traditional practices.

GAMCOTRAP is a non-governmental organisation registered with the Attorney General's Chamber. The NGO Affairs Agency and the Association for non-governmental Oganisations (TANGO). It is affiliated to the Inter-Africa Committee (IAC) on Traditional practices. read more

PUBLICATIONS

GAMCOTRAP engages in the publications of materials on various socio cultural and Gender issues as well as on sexual and reproductive health for adolescent youths and women of reproductive age.
